HSPTEK Launches Edge AI Computing Platform KimQ at DCCI Summit 2024

Hanoi, March 18, 2024 – At the Data Center & Cloud Infrastructure Summit (DCCI Summit 2024), HSPTEK officially introduced the KimQ Edge AI Computing Platform, marking a significant milestone in bringing artificial intelligence (AI) closer to real-life applications. This is a compact AI computer designed as a Computer-on-Module (COM), optimized to operate in complex edge computing environments.

The KimQ platform includes two product lines: KIMQ6490 and KIMQ5430, based on Qualcomm’s high-performance AI chips QCS6490 and QCS5430. With AI processing power up to 13 TOPS, KimQ delivers impressive performance while ensuring energy efficiency thanks to its advanced 6nm chip technology. Notably, KimQ’s design requires no cooling fans and can run for extended periods on battery power, making it ideal for devices requiring stability and durability.

With its compact size (40x47mm) and exceptional performance, KimQ is the perfect platform for a wide range of applications, including:

  • AI Cameras
  • Edge AI Computers (AIBox)
  • Industrial Robots
  • Industrial Handheld Devices
  • Industrial Gateways
  • Vending Machines
  • Smart Kiosks
  • Smart Payment Devices

At the summit, HSPTEK also demonstrated two AIBox products built on the KimQ platform, capable of supporting at least 8 FullHD cameras and handling 30 to 50 AI streams simultaneously. This showcases KimQ’s strong potential in delivering solutions for various industries such as security monitoring, manufacturing, and real-time AI processing applications.

The KimQ platform not only provides an effective technological solution but also opens up new opportunities for businesses to develop advanced AI applications, contributing to the overall growth of the tech community and other industrial sectors.
