Hanoi – May 27, 2025 – At the themed conference “AI and Computing: Driving Innovation and Productivity for Vietnam,” co-organized by the Vietnam Digital Communications Association (VDCA) and Qualcomm Vietnam, HSPTek and its partner VBee officially launched a high-quality offline AI voice solution, integrated on the KIMQ 6490 AI Box.
The event brought together leading experts, tech enterprises, and representatives from regulatory agencies in the fields of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. It served as a key forum for connecting Vietnam’s AI ecosystem and showcasing the latest technological solutions that support national digital transformation efforts.
During the event, HSPTek demonstrated the VBee-developed text-to-speech (TTS) model running entirely on the locally made KIMQ 6490 device. The system was able to generate a 90-second voice clip in just 17 seconds—more than five times faster than human reading speed—without requiring any internet connection.
According to HSPTek, the successful deployment of a complex TTS model on a mainstream edge AI device marks an important milestone in the commercialization of cost-effective and practical AI applications. This solution is particularly suitable for scenarios that demand low latency, high data privacy, and consistent performance in environments with limited connectivity.
The offline voice synthesis solution is designed for a wide range of applications, including smart homes, consumer electronics, smart city infrastructure, and industrial IoT systems. With a flexible hardware architecture and strong on-device processing capabilities, the KIMQ 6490 AI Box enables businesses to reduce deployment time and operational costs while improving user interaction through natural voice responses.
A representative from HSPTek stated, “We are committed to developing practical AI hardware solutions that meet the diverse needs of both domestic and international markets. This collaboration with VBee to integrate AI voice technology into the KIMQ 6490 is a strategic step toward making AI more accessible at the edge.”
The launch of this offline voice AI solution is part of a broader strategy to advance Vietnam-made technologies, contributing to the government’s vision for comprehensive and sustainable digital transformation.
