HSPTek Showcases Edge AI Platform KIMQ at Qualcomm’s AI Center Launch in Vietnam

Hanoi – June 10, 2025Qualcomm officially inaugurated its Artificial Intelligence Research & Development (AI R&D) Center in Vietnam – the company’s third-largest AI center globally, following India and Ireland. This milestone highlights Qualcomm’s long-term commitment to supporting Vietnam’s AI ecosystem and accelerating national digital transformation.

At the inauguration ceremony, HSPTek – a leading Vietnamese tech company – was honored to present its AIoT edge computing platform KIMQ to Qualcomm Global President, the U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam, and senior representatives from various ministries and government agencies.

The KIMQ platform, designed and developed by HSPTek, leverages Qualcomm’s powerful processors to enable on-device AI inference without relying on cloud infrastructure. This makes it ideal for real-time applications requiring low latency, high privacy, and consistent performance at the edge.

The selection of KIMQ for presentation at a high-profile international tech event reinforces HSPTek’s growing capabilities in AI hardware innovation and underlines Vietnam’s potential to contribute to the global AI value chain with “Make in Vietnam” solutions.

Qualcomm’s new AI Center in Hanoi is expected to become a hub for advanced research, development, and application of AI across various sectors such as industry, smart cities, agriculture, healthcare, and education. It will also serve as a platform to foster collaboration with Vietnamese partners in areas like workforce training, development tools, and technical support for the local developer community.

A representative from HSPTek shared:

“It’s an honor to be part of this historic event and to stand alongside Qualcomm in launching its first AI R&D Center in Vietnam. We believe Vietnam is entering a new era of AI readiness, with a robust ecosystem covering hardware, software, and applied platforms — ready to contribute to the global tech landscape.”

The launch of Qualcomm’s AI R&D Center in Hanoi marks a strong momentum for AI deployment in Vietnam, especially in enabling large-scale AI models to run directly on mobile and edge devices – such as HSPTek’s KIMQ platform.
